Sergey Lisun was born in Pervomaisk, Mykolaiv Oblast in Ukraine. Born into a family of craftsmen before him, Sergey grew up watching and helping his father build their home. After completing his mandatory military service, Sergey met his wife Dina in St. Petersburg. They were married and had three children before moving to the USA in 1995. After living in Portland, Oregon for five years, Sergey and Dina made the decision to move their family of seven to Fairbanks, Alaska where Sergey spent 13 years building his furniture and cabinetry portfolio

When Sergey and Dina had enough of the cold, they decided to migrate to the beautiful midwest, eventually settling in Republic, Missouri, where Lisun Furniture was born. Sergey has since operated Lisun Furniture, repairing furniture, and building custom kitchens and furniture since 2016.

Sergey has spent the past three decades perfecting his craft, and gaining expertise in cabinetry, upholstery, and antique restoration. There are very few projects he hasn't taken, and even less that he hasn't been able to make work. Sergey is a true artist of his craft and can’t wait to get started on your project.
